These virtual Level 1, 2 & 3 Ethics of Trauma-Informed Care trainings will support therapists in applying a trauma-informed approach to navigate both personal and professional life challenges.
Completing the Level 1 training is a requirement before proceeding to Level 2 & Level 3.
Participants will leave with simple, effective interventions to manage stress, prevent burnout, and create a sense of safety with clients so they can lead their agency toward becoming a more trauma-informed organization.
This training is available as a virtual self-paced training now!
Participants can earn up to 6 Ethics CEs for all 3 levels of this course series.
Becca Odom Wellness, Provider #1955, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 4/16/2025-4/16/2028. Social workers completing this course receive 2 Ethics continuing education credits.

There is a quiz and course evaluation at the end to ensure completion and required by all CE approval organizations.

Meet Your Facilitator
Becca Odom is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Registered Yoga Teacher with over a decade of experience in the mental health and wellness field.
Becca specializes in combining Somatic Approaches with EMDR for trauma recovery. She primarily works with women who have experienced trauma, chronic stress, and anxiety.
Her passion is to empower others to heal themselves and she specializes in anxiety, trauma recovery, and stress management.
She has been offering trainings on Yoga for Trauma and Resiliency nationally for close to a decade, and is passionate about supporting professionals to bring more trauma-informed tools into their clinical practice as well as for their own self-care to prevent burnout.
She is trained in EMDR, Community Resiliency Model (CRM), Mindful Schools, Trauma-Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, and have my 200-hour yoga teacher training certification.
She loves teaching and is so excited to share this course with our community!

Level 1
- Define trauma and identify potential sources of trauma.
- Recognize the impact that stress and trauma can have on both the therapist and client.
- Describe how trauma can impact the brain and autonomic nervous system.
- Give trauma-informed language and phrasing to use when implementing somatic tools with clients.
Level 2
- Examine how Polyvagal Theory can support creating a sense of safety within the therapeutic relationship and setting.
- Describe how to assess the autonomic nervous system state for both the therapist and client during a session.
- Apply somatic practices for self-regulation and co-regulation in a clinical setting.
- Recognize ways to create a trauma-informed setting for clients.
Level 3
- Examine how the application of polyvagal theory in therapy can enhance a sense of safety for clients and support the therapeutic relationship.
- Compose a map of the autonomic nervous system states and examine tools to regulate that stress response.
- Demonstrate how to introduce breathing techniques with clients for nervous system regulation.
- Describe how stress and trauma impact ethical decision making processes in a clinical setting.
