A Guide to Trauma-Informed Somatic Principles and Practices for Trauma Recovery.
In this Complete Training Series, you will receive Level 1, 2 & 3 at a discounted rate. This self-paced asynchronous course series will build upon the principles and practices of the proceeding Level, so please complete each Level training in the correct course order.
These trainings will support therapists in applying a trauma-informed approach to navigate both personal and professional life challenges.
Please note: Trainings must be completed in order. Level 1 and 2 are a prerequisite to complete Level 3.

Topics Include:
- Somatic tools with a trauma-informed lens to build resilience and prevent burnout.
- How to define trauma and understand its impact on the brain and systems in the body.
- Principles and practices of Judith Herman’s Stage Model to Trauma Recovery.
- How to introduce and integrate trauma-informed somatic practices in a clinical setting.
- Creating a trauma informed space for clients.
- Ethical decision making processes and dilemma examples.
- Trauma-informed approaches to breathing practices.
- Introduce and examine how Polyvagal Theory in therapy can enhance a sense of safety in the therapeutic relationship.
This is a self-paced asynchronous course series. You will have access to the recordings for 1 year and must complete each course entirely to receive each Certificate of Completion.
CE Details: Becca Odom Wellness, Provider #1955, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 4/16/2025-4/16/2028. Social workers completing this course receive 2 Ethics continuing education credits.
